Synopsis

In the 1950’s and 60’s a boy and a girl grow up several hundred miles apart in the Southern United States, leading parallel lives with similar interests.

As teenagers they know that, someday, they will eventually meet their true love.  They just don’t know where or when.  In a stroke of fate they meet in their early twenties, fall in love, marry, and raise a family.  Throughout their lives they encounter the usual ups and downs of life, but a common thread is their love of rock and roll music.

Some songs become their favorites and, later in life, fondly remind them of the special times in their lives, much like bookmarks in a printed book.  The play is a mixture of the characters’ dialogue and the popular music of their lives.  The poetry of the specially selected songs’ lyrics is woven into the fabric of the story line.
